    [This is based on a dream I had where a fellow was painting a giant mural. There was a pond in the foreground and rolling hills and trees were off in the distance. The sky was full of beautiful clouds.]

  2. I will look at a painting and say "Oh it looks real"
    and then I will look at the horizon and sunset and say
    'Oh, it looks like a painting!"

    so, you captured my thoughts exactly

  4. completely off subject;
    yesterday I was backing up my blog to CD andand I accidentally republished a couple of my old posts. I see you commented on one of them.

    Did you notice it was dated in July?

    Thanks for the visit to my past.

  5. Whenever a dream is mentioned, I'm hooked!: ... Why not!? Art is 'better than nature!:) William Blake who detested copying nature said in a sentence that I only read in a booklet in Slovenain translation that nature is essentially pure vision. For those who can see, I suppose. I guess most of us need a degree of artistic manipulation, before we are able to realise this. Just a though!?:)

  6. Pamela: I'm pleased it works for you.

    Aurora: :-) I wonder...

    John: Thanks.,

    Polona: :-) Thanks.

    Pat: I know what you mean...there is some amazing work out there.

    Pamela: Yes, I did notice when I looked at the second one. I use a news reader, so it notifies me when blogs have new stuff.

    Borut: Some deep thoughts...what is the nature of Nature, eh? And now days with cameras that can reproduce a scene perfectly, it almost seems a waste of effort to spend weeks or months painting the same thing. Maybe the Japanese with their sumi-e painting and haiku poetry are on to something. :-)
