Renhai Reflections 185: Step Forward
Step Forward
A Renhai by Vaughn Seward (vs) & Gillena Cox (gc)
rainflies shedding wings —
at the slightest touch they move
on to the next stage. /gc
mosquitoes sing at sunset /gc
pounding rain hits the tin roof /vs
windshield wiper blades —
a bit of each bug set free
in each swipe's quick pass /vs

lovely duo job again

Sorry to say it that clear: the pair "wings/blades" gives me a very hard poetic kick. Very fine - and somehow just in the middle of William S. Burroughs' room.
Best wishes
Ralf
Thanks all!
I really giggled at the last verse.
Just made a trip - 3300 plus miles -- and we picked up a lot of bugs on the windshield. As we crossed the border from Idaho into Oregon, we hit a rain burst. I watched that "bit of bug" action just as you describe.
Great stuff from this part of the internet. Again, thank you for this blog.
