These words arise from deep within... ink on paper.

[This poem, the 1000th recorded in my haiku log, describes the mystery in how most of these haiku are created. They often come to me at odd times like in the shower or walking somewhere. When I get a chance I write them in a Moleskin notebook and later transfer them to the Masago blog (thus "ink on paper").
The link with #999 is "Escape". This is also appropriate in that 1000 marks the "escape" from three-digit posts to four-digit posts.]
great post to celebrate the 1000 well done i still do that foolish thing of getting ideas at odd times knowing they are so good that i won't forget them - and then i do time to get me a moleskin notebook cheers
Thank you every one for your congrats and warm comments!
It is interesting to learn how others write their poems. :-)
Floots: I know the feeling, in the middle of the night a few days ago I came up with a fantastic haiku. The next morning it had vanished (I suppose it wasn't so great after all). :-)
From "The Haiku Anthology" I became interested in Haiku and I have since written numerous haiku, senyru, and tanka. "Masago", my haiku pen-name, means "grain(s) of sand" in Japanese. I have recently started learning Esperanto and Japanese. A few years ago I developed a new eastern verse form which we now call 'Renhai'.

Congrats on your 1000th recorded 'ku!
I mostly write on trains. Something about that rhythmic sound....
I know how you feel. Most of mine are written either in the city park or on my back patio at night. :)
