A seagull descends upon the empty space... handicap zone.

[Nature seldom has any regard for man's "rules". One sunny afternoon after a visit to our favorite coffee shop we came out and I saw a seagull as described in this haiku. Perhaps it had come for a "coffee" too.]
From "The Haiku Anthology" I became interested in Haiku and I have since written numerous haiku, senyru, and tanka. "Masago", my haiku pen-name, means "grain(s) of sand" in Japanese. I have recently started learning Esperanto and Japanese. A few years ago I developed a new eastern verse form which we now call 'Renhai'.

Polona: Thanks.
I wonder how you would have haiku'd the seagull I photo'd sitting on the "don't feed the seagulls" sign.
Pamela: That'd be a good one. I actually did write a haiku back in September, 2005 about something similar:
No parking zone -
a magpie perches
on the sign.
