Rengay Through the Seasons #36 [1-6]

by Masago: Rengay #36 (May 4-10, 2008), Verses 1-6 (of 6)

Into the pond — the voices of several poets / grow fainter.
Setting sun — each croak / expressed with love.
Tree limb — morning rays, warm / on the back.
Chicken in pursuit — I barely escape under /the wire fence.
Stone outcrop — a fly / comes tantalizingly near.
I hop to centre / lane — an approaching car / grows louder.

defintely a frog chorus here.
I was really hoping that one had hopped into our pond - as I heard it croaking the other day.

Perhaps I was just dreaming. when I was a kid our house sat on the side of a hill that overlooked a marshland/pond.

The frogs sang us lullabys through the summer. Good memories. Ribbit.

This reminds me of one of the old video game called Frogger. We used to go to 7-11 after school to play it., tryind to get him across a buisy road.
Thanks for bringing this back to me. :)

A day in the life of 'Hermit' :) I've not seen a frog for years - this brought back memories of home on the farm on hot summer evenings listening to their chorus...
I really enjoyed this one.

Pamela: Yes, your descriptions remind me of my own frog memories. Thank you.

Andrew: Yes, apparently you get this same game as a gadget on your iGoogle start page:

Borut: Thank you (right on). :-)

John: Thanks.

Janice: Thank you. I'm surprised though that you haven't seen frogs in your area.

Polona: I have a feeling he is okay, especially if Andrew is at the controls. :-)
