Renhai Reflections 63: Whiteout
Whiteout
A Renhai by Janice Thomson (jt) & Vaughn Seward (vs)
Blustery winds —
I move the garbage can
closer to the wall. /jt
Pines plastered with seafoam — /vs
along the shore whitecaps break. /jt
Post blizzard —
a snowplow leaves a bank
past the driveway. /vs

First January:
Rolling up the old shutter,
What do I see – snow!?
now that's a stormy end to the old year :o)
best wishes for 2009!
Vaughn, may no bank block your path in the new year. Pun intended.
the last part -- about the snowplow -- just is too close for comfort.
picture me with my shovel at the end of my drive calling the driver a coward.. ha ha
It's a cold day here, and reading this has made me colder.
I especially like the first one - that sense of needing to shelter even the inanimate. We've lost our dustbin too many times to winds.
Thanks to all for the comments :)
