Rengay Through the Seasons #45 [1-3]

by Masago: Rengay #45 (Jul 6-12, 2008), Verses 1-3 (of 6)

City park — azalea petals among / cigarette butts.
Charred forest remains — pink fireweed blossoms.
The front lawn, long and going to seed — beds of gout weed.

I've seen this in the woods but not in a lawn or garden.
My lawn is more clover than grass this year - at least it's green :)

sometimes a neglected lawn looks nicer than a manicured one... well, to me at least :)

Janice: It is very beautiful in some locations, but it can get out of hand and it goes to seed fairly early in the summer.

Andrew: :-) Me too.

Borut: Actually it has/is used for medicinal purposes. Here in Canada it is grown for its "pretty" look... it also fills in well and keeps out other weeds.

John: Yeah, I should be doing that right now. :-)

Susan: Thanks for dropping by.

Polona: That doesn't surprise me and I tend to agree.
