Link with 1044: Consume.

[Even now, many forest fires are natural events. Before the advent of civilization it was one of the ways that nature effected renewal.

P.S. This is the 300th linked haiku in this series since August 11, 2007.]

Pamela: Thanks. That's true, some trees need a forest fire to have their seeds released. Sounds risky to me. :-)

Andrew: Thanks!

Floots: Thank you, laddy.

John: Thank you.

GZ: Thank you.

Polona: Many thanks.
