Wow, I did not know that about cowbirds. I must say I was a bit taken back thinking what kind of gift ... smiles... ahh but I get it now.

last summer I had a song sparrow raising a Cowbird in my back yard. I t was comical in that she was half his size and feeding him. But sad, too.
