- From "The Haiku Anthology" I became interested in Haiku and I have since written numerous haiku, senyru, and tanka. "Masago", my haiku pen-name, means "grain(s) of sand" in Japanese. I have recently started learning Esperanto and Japanese. A few years ago I developed a new eastern verse form which we now call 'Renhai'.

Rising tide -
a piece of driftwood

Link with 1059: Starting to move.
[Perhaps this piece of driftwood settled on to the beach at a previous high tide. Now, today, as the tide comes in, it is re-lifted back into to surf for another journey on the high seas.]
