Renhai Reflections 178: Had Been May Be

Had Been May Be

A Renhai by Vaughn Seward (Solo)

A dried pinecone
where the last patch
of snow had been.

The cat scratches in the bed —
a breeze lifts an old flyer.

Sorting through
his old knick-knack box —
corncob pipe.

I wish I could stick winter in my knick-knack box once and for all, but it keeps hanging around!!! Warmer days have to be on their way, though. Love this as usual, Vaughn. :)

I can hear the scene. Brilliant connection between scene and sound.

Best wishes
