Rengay Through the Seasons #30 [1-3]

by Masago: Rengay #30 (Mar 23-29, 2008), Verses 1-3 (of 6)

Patch of daffodils — the old John Deere parked / by a collapsed barn.
Empty rocking chair — the cat naps undisturbed.
Swing set — a vacant seat sways / back and forth.

love how the alliteration and that "back and forth" conjure up the sense of motion
thank you

Did someone fall out? I'm beginning to feel deserted.

I'm liking how this series is shaping up so far. Sometimes absence can throw more meaning to a scene than presence.

I am reminded of a song by Don McLean 'Empty Chairs' - there is a line about 'empty clothes that drape and fall on empty chairs'.

Looking forward to seeing where you go next.
