Grains

The sun rises
over the red planet
as Phobos sets. /vs
Ghost-river in its arid bed — /jws
the landbooster skims near. /vs
The shell cities
now grains of sand, rotted empires
simply methane. /jws

Very nice idea: NASA meets SF - and becomes a dusty peace of somehow Wild-West-poetry. I like it a lot.

I was about to say something seriously, but Ralf's comment made me laugh, Masago and John :)
i thought this was one of the best dark poetry series I read here...i don't think I have read many, though :)
ghost river -- Indian rivers mostly are those at the moment...as if the bed screams out..'there was a river here once' -- but, they fill with two good rains :)

The nice thing about the animations and cartoons for kids is that the good guys and the bad guys are clearly defined.
I foundd myself aligning withethe sun rising; the good guy; not so much out of choice but by structure; in being the first Verse i read and knew and can identify all the motifs; didn't know who Phobus was until i read the Notes, This is really an interesting renhai, after reading the notes i reread the renhai;
