Polona: I see. I don't recall that it had rained here in this case. Do you notice that as a general rule there they do that after it rains? Of course, I assume you have "real" seagulls there...ours just hang around lakes, sloughs, and dumps (the nearest sea is over 1200 Km away). :-) Thanks.

White spots appearing close by your foot? no, they just examine alternate flying lanes or seagulls are flying their poems into an empty air.

well, masago, i just noticed a large flock of gulls appearing in the sky after the storm we had on my holiday destination.
seagulls are rare visitors where i live though the sea is less than 100 km away (by air), so it would be highly unlikely that i could observe them here.

Polona: Maybe they don't come inland as there is too much to attract them near the coast (e.g. lots of dead sea food).
