The end reminds me of a Hassidic story about a farm-hand who was thinking too much… His main business was to guard the beautiful stallion in the stables of his master … One night, during one of his usually intense thinking sessions about difficult metaphysical problems, the stallion mysteriously disappeared…: The man, asked by the landlord about the whereabouts of the stallion, after thinking for a moment, said: I’ve been here all night… I’m still here… But…, the stallion is gone…?!

Andrew: ;-(

Pamela: Aw, it isn't all that bad (is it?). :-)

Floots: Spot on, lad. I had to look up "sod's law" though (I'm more familiar with Murphy's Law). Thanks.

Borut: There's a good lesson here, it is often best not to "think" too much when writing verse. Thank you.

Polona: Thank you.
