(Funny memories; a long ago I worked onboard a Finnish Oil Company, called NESTE. Visited once also in NWN Canada, in Melville Island, 75N 106W, the northernmost place I have visited ...)
Tikkis: Thanks. Man, that's far up there, 75N. We are 53° 34' N and it seems pretty far as it is. Yet I see you are even farther North yet (60° 27'). :-)
From "The Haiku Anthology" I became interested in Haiku and I have since written numerous haiku, senyru, and tanka. "Masago", my haiku pen-name, means "grain(s) of sand" in Japanese. I have recently started learning Esperanto and Japanese. A few years ago I developed a new eastern verse form which we now call 'Renhai'.
