Rengay Through the Seasons #33 [1-3]

by Masago: Rengay #33 (Apr 13-19, 2008), Verses 1-3 (of 6)

Foot traffic — a dandelion sprout / in a tiny crack.
These new shoes — my feet / sue for a prompt return.
Passing car — a bit of her dress caught / in the door.

[In the second verse, the word 'sue' meaning "to make petition or appeal to" is somewhat archaic but is hopefully poetically quaint in this usage. It is also a play on words in that my feet not only wish that I return the shoes but also that they'd like to go back to wearing the old pair they are used to.]
