winter night... a constant hush of hot air through the vent
Link with 880: Hot air.
[On Christmas Eve not a creature is stirring, not even a mouse...but the furnace, that's a different matter. Day and night the furnace chuqs away putting out warm air to heat the house during the long, cold, winter months.]
I like it a lot. Reminds me of William Blake who said that without Man, Nature is dead. Also says a lot about Peace! In the negative sense, reminds me of Polona's recent mention of a cosmic joke about planets infected by man's presence!:) Thank you. All the best!
From "The Haiku Anthology" I became interested in Haiku and I have since written numerous haiku, senyru, and tanka. "Masago", my haiku pen-name, means "grain(s) of sand" in Japanese. I have recently started learning Esperanto and Japanese. A few years ago I developed a new eastern verse form which we now call 'Renhai'.
