Another beautiful haiku Masago. You really seem to shine with your "nature" haiku -- for some reason they elevate me to a higher level than your "urban" haiku do. Nothing against the "urban" haiku mind you -- I suspect it is just me, and my love of nature.
Karasu: Thanks for the encouragement regarding nature. I do enjoy writing them. The "urban" ku appear to me as I spend 80% of my time in the 'burbs. :-)
Pat: Thank you Pat, your words bring a little sunshine in this bleak-like week. :-)
Bill: Thanks.
Polona: Thank you.
Tim: Thanks...hadn't really seen it that way before. :-)
From "The Haiku Anthology" I became interested in Haiku and I have since written numerous haiku, senyru, and tanka. "Masago", my haiku pen-name, means "grain(s) of sand" in Japanese. I have recently started learning Esperanto and Japanese. A few years ago I developed a new eastern verse form which we now call 'Renhai'.
